With the Bearing Distance tool (BD) you can start any of the Visual CADD line tools (or the
several in our toolkit), type BD, and then enter numbers for distance and bearing, separated by a
comma. You don't need to use the cumbersome VCADD format where you must include the "<" for
polar coordinates.
The Bearing Distance tool lets you specify several different types of measurement output for your
angles. In addition, you can specify any point on the compass as a starting point (VCADD restricts
you to 3 o'clock).
This screenshot also shows what happens when you use our Bearing Label
(BB). Once you've
drawn a site plan with Bearing Distance, draw a selection window around all the lines and type
BB.
You can now quickly and automatically place a label (text string) for each line, that shows the
bearing and the distance.
Our Bearing Tools allow you to quickly draw and label site plans.
