TRITOOLS PARTNERS PURCHASE VISUAL CADD
On December 31, 2001, TriTools Partners acquired ownership of Visual CADD
software. They are the current developers and had previously been operating
under a licensing agreement to develop and market Visual CADD.
Visual CADD is
a highly productive 2D design and drafting software. It has a short learning
curve, features a clean, uncluttered interface that maximizes the drawing
area, and has a very intuitive tool and feature set that is easy to use and
provides increased productivity unmatched by most other CAD applications.
It also
features
complete customization for advanced users. As a CAD development engine, it
offers third party developers a robust Open API (Application Programming
Interface) with the power to create an almost limitless range of specialized
add-on utilities or completely independent applications.
TriTools Partners began developing add-on tools for Visual CADD in 1996, and joined
the product development team as contract programmers in 1998. Each partner has
used Visual CADD daily over the years to create production drawings in
various disciplines. They have talked with literally thousands of users, and provided
technical support and documentation to both users and 3rd party
programmers even before getting involved directly in VCADD development.
The purchase
confirms TriTools strong commitment to the future of Visual CADD. A new
version is under development and will be released in 2002.
