VCADD 6.0.1 Beta Update

We have released the public beta version of the 6.0.1 update.

The 6.0.1 patch fixes some of the glitches that are always a part of a new major software release, tackles some longstanding bugs, and adds a few new features. Download the README file linked below for a complete list.

In the past TriTools has worked with a dedicated group of testers on the beta patches. We have decided with v6 updates to do public beta testing as well, for a couple of reasons. First it gets you the fix to a possible problem/issue that you might have without waiting for the patch release.

Second, we have more users on a wider mix of computers and networks testing potential issues. It is a win-win situation as you get the fixes faster and we get more test data that helps us to fix problems and make Visual CADD a better program.

If you have any issues with the patch and want to roll back to the original v6.0.0 release we have provided the means to do so. To remove the patch from your computer during the beta, simply go to Start>All Programs>Visual CADD 6.0. On the flyout you will see an option to "undo latest patch".

This update can be applied to the 30 day demo, so if you are doing a trial of Visual CADD you can utilize this patch to see the latest improvements. Install the demo first and then download and install the update.

We offer two options for downloading -- an EXE file and a zip file that contains the EXE. Some firewalls and anti-virus software block the download of a file with an EXE extension so the zip is an alternate in these cases.

Get the 6.0.1 beta patch:

Download the Visual CADD 6.0.1 beta patch (a 4.1 MB self extracting EXE file)  or

Download a zip file containing the self extracting EXE file

Right click and "Save Link As.." to download the README txt file. A left click will open the file in your browser. This is an ASCII text file and can be opened in Notepad or any other editor:

Install Instructions for the patch:

• Download to the desktop or a folder on your computer.
• Unzip if you chose the zip file option.
• Double click the EXE file to start the install procedure.
• Follow the prompts on the screen.
